Area Guides
We are preparing a series of guides to help competitors, service crews and others with informations on cities and towns that are visited during the Desert Storm. Your suggestions for improvements are welcome.
We will try and embeded driving directions and Google Maps in as many city guides as possible and these can be used by crews, service teams and followers of the rally as a general guide to move from one major halt to next. The maps do not show the competitive sections, for which maps will be issued just prior to the event.
In general we will try to give information for each town covering the following:
Airport: If the town connected by air
Railway: If the town has major railway station and connectivity
Service: Type of garages available in the area
Spares: Comment of type and range of spares available
Medical: Available hospitals and medical facilities
Name of main market: Market area that offer essential shopping items
Hotels: Types and class of hotels and stay arrangements
Communications: Mobile coverage is extensive in the entire region. We will cover internet and other services here of hotels and stay arrangements
Credit Cards and ATM's: General availability of outlets accepting credit cards and bank ATM's
Delhi, Northern Motorsport office and Ceremonial flag off venue
